The jagged pink peaks of the Dolomites form arguably the most beautiful mountain range in Europe but they also offer one of the largest ski areas too. The village of Campitello lies in the heart of the Dolomites in the wide, sunny Fassa Valley which preserves the Alpine traditions of the local Ladin people. From the village centre the Col Rodella lift whisks you up to the Campitello ski area where both beginners and intermediates will love the wide open blue and red runs. Campitello is part of the huge Dolomiti Superski area with a staggering 1,220kms of pistes, many of which are directly accessible from Campitello using the Sella Ronda, a 26km circular ski tour. The Sella Ronda can be skied both clockwise and anticlockwise and connects several other resorts.

Skiing in Campitello: Advanced skiers can try the amazing Val Mezdi descent

Hop over to Arabba for some great north facing black runs or head in the other direction to Selva Valgardena to try out both the men's and women's downhill World Cup runs. If conditions are right advanced skiers can try, with a guide, the amazing Val Mezdi descent between the rocks of the Sella Massif down to Colfosco or the heart-stopping Pordoi Gulley. Most visitors to the Dolomites however just love to put kilometres under their skis whilst enjoying some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
