One of Austria's best-kept secrets is the picturesque village of Ischgl, rated as one of Austria's top ski resorts. Set high in the Paznaun valley amidst the spectacular Silvretta mountain range, Ischgl's extensive, snow-sure ski area, efficient high-altitude lift system and breathtaking scenery, combine to make this resort a skier's paradise.
Ischgl itself is a traditional charming Tirolean village with bags of character and is well-known for its lively après-ski atmosphere, with a really good choice of cosy bars and night spots. The snow-sure nursery slopes are located on the sunny plateau at Idalp and beginners will quickly gain the confidence to enjoy the pleasant blue runs on the east side of the bowl.

Over 50 blue and red runs

The vast ‘Silvretta Ski Arena' covers six interconnecting valleys with over 200kms of piste, presenting over 50 blue and red runs. A fabulous selection of wide forgiving slopes, picturesque forest trails and the popular long ‘Alp Trida' run down to the duty-free Swiss border, are an intermediate skier's dream! Due to its high-altitude location, Ischgl not only offers a good choice of black runs, but an absolute wealth of beautiful off-piste skiing, which more advanced skiers will relish.
